LVHS Service Areas for Stray Animals

Call the Lehigh Valley Humane Society at 610-797-1205 if you found a stray animal in one of these municipalities:

  • City of Allentown: Dogs, Cats, Community Cats, Small Animals

  • City of Bethlehem: Dogs

  • Fountain Hill: Dogs, Cats, Small Animals

  • Macungie: Dogs, Cats, Small Animals.
    Please note that we are not contracted with Upper or Lower Macungie Townships

  • Emmaus: Dogs, Cats, Small Animals

  • Salisbury Township: Dogs, Cats, Small Animals

  • South Whitehall: Dogs, Cats

  • Upper Milford Township: Dogs, Cats, Small Animals

  • Upper Saucon Township: Dogs, Cats, Small Animals

  • Whitehall: Dogs, Cats, Small Animals
    Please note that we are not contracted with North Whitehall Township

Lehigh County Dog Licenses

Effective Thursday February 1, 2024 the Lehigh Valley Humane Society will no longer sell or distribute annual dog licenses.

Annual Dog Licenses can be purchased online using the button below. You may also purchase a dog license in person from:

Lifetime Dog Licenses

Lifetime dog licenses are available if you are going to have the dog tattooed or implanted with a microchip.  These licenses may be purchased by mail or in person at the Lehigh County Government Center.  A tattoo number is issued by the County fiscal Office at the time of application. Completion of a Permanent Identification Form is required by the veterinarian tattooing, implanting or scanning the microchip.  This form must be returned to the County Treasurer within 30 days of a receipt.  A dog is not legally licensed until a dog owner returns the completed certificate.
