Leave a Legacy of Love

Since 1906, the Lehigh Valley Humane Society has been dedicated to serving the people and animals of the Lehigh Valley. Since 1906, we have been committed to ending pet homelessness, providing affordable and quality medical services, and preventing animal cruelty.

As we enter this second century of service, we have an obligation to expand our programs to fill an ever growing need in our community; quality medical care for ALL pet owners to ensure that no animal is turned away based on their breed, background or their owner’s ability to pay.

You can ensure that LVHS continues this noble mission for the next 100 years by joining the Circle of Hope. You will leave a legacy that enhances the quality of life in our region, protects the animals in our community and provides life saving resources to all humans and animals.

Be a Part of our Circle of Hope

Our planned giving program involves making arrangements now. This allows programs and animals to benefit through your planned gifts immediately- or in the future. Your gift of any size will help us achieve our mission of not only finding animals forever homes, but keeping them there. Your gift will help us fund:

• Meals and medical care to our shelter animals

• Routine vaccinations and surgeries to privately owned animals

• Reunifications of pets and their families

• Spay and Neuter programs that prevent overpopulation

• Adoptions to loving forever homes

• Financial assistance to families who otherwise cannot afford vet care

• Rescue animals who need our help the most

By becoming a part of Circle of Hope, you are helping us achieve our goals for years to come.

Legacy Legends

“We have been adopting from Lehigh Valley Humane Society for over 20 years. The changes and growth we have witnessed first-hand. We named the LVHS as one of the beneficiaries in our will because we want to be a part of the future of animal welfare in the Valley. LVHS has proven so capable of serving the animals and the people in our community. It is important to us that all animals are given a second chance at life. Our gift will help ensure that LVHS exists for future generations, knowing that everybody has access to resources to help keep their pets in their homes, no matter what issues they face in life.”

Hope’s Story

Hope was rescued on April 10, 2019 from an attic where she had lived her entire life. She had never seen daylight, was covered in filth, was very pregnant and very scared. We immediately bathed her and provided much needed medical attention. She was placed in a private cozy area with blankets, the next day she bore 8 puppies. Over the next several months we assisted Hope as she nursed her puppies. When 2 puppies tested positive for parvo our staff committed to saving Hope and her puppies by quarantine and intense medical intervention. Weeks later, when all were cleared of this fatal canine virus, Hope and her puppies became available for adoption. One by one Hope watched as her puppies were adopted. Finally, on October 28 Hope was adopted into a loving forever home.
